  • This role is for a well-established family owned and operated company, who are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer who has been in a proactive / leadership position. Your experience will have been gained in compliance, health and safety, environment and or management systems, within the print/ packaging or food packaging industries.

  • Your relevant qualifications, (these could be in the fields as mentioned above and include Internal Auditor/ lead Auditor, HACCP certification, or experience with PEFC and/ or FSC chain of custody systems), ensures you can manage the Integrated Management system and compliance across all areas of the business.

  • This is a vital/ hub role for the business where the ability to be organized, interact internally and externally, and to communicate clearly is essential. You are a multi-tasker who can meet multiple deadlines and you are computer savvy. It is your negotiation skills and the ability to get results that sets you apart.

  • This role is the primary point of contact for audits, certification activities, customer enquiries and regular compliance matters.

  • Your experience to date includes overseeing and maintaining the following

  • ISO9001 Quality Management Systems

  • ISO45001 Occupational H & S Management Systems

  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems

  • HACCP Food Safety Programme

  • PEFC and FSC Chain of Custody Certifications

  • GS1 Barcode Compliance

  • Hazardous Substance Compliance

  • Customer Compliance and Audit Requirements.

  • This is an interesting, varied role as you are working alongside production, sales and externally. There is some client and supplier interfacing as audits are carried out internally and onsite.

    You MUST have the right to work in N.Z. and NZ experience for this role. A current N.Z. Driver's Licence is required.

  • The company is flexible re the working hours which are 25 to 30 per week, ideally Mon to Fri or similar, however they are prepared to discuss this with you as they want the right fit for both parties.

  • The remuneration is experience linked and is circa $35 to 40 per hour. Those candidates offering all the above skills and experience we want to talk to you too.
