Core Responsibilities:
Ensure all project activities comply with HSE regulations, industry standards and internal policies, including risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work requirements.
Execute assigned equipment projects (acquisition of new container handling and port equipment, upgrades, retrofits and life-extension programs) through the full project lifecycle: feasibility, design, procurement, execution, commissioning and close-out.
Prepare project scopes, technical specifications and performance requirements for new equipment and modifications, in coordination with Operations and Maintenance, for review and approval.
Contribute to business cases by preparing cost estimates and CAPEX budget inputs; assess technical alternatives based on lifecycle cost, availability, reliability and maintainability.
Support the procurement process by preparing technical tender documents, conducting technical bid evaluations and providing technical input to contract negotiations with OEMs and contractors.
Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, risk registers and progress reports for assigned projects; monitor project KPIs and escalate deviations to the Senior Manager.
Coordinate with OEMs, contractors and consultants during project execution; review engineering drawings, design documents and technical submittals and recommend them for approval.
Coordinate and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), inspections and commissioning activities; ensure punch-list items are closed prior to final acceptance.
Coordinate a structured handover to Maintenance and Operations, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, spare parts lists, warranties and operator/technician training.
Register new assets in the MAXIMO system and coordinate traffic registration and insurance for equipment delivered, installed and commissioned.
Follow up on equipment performance during the warranty period and manage defect notifications and warranty claims with suppliers.
Capture lessons learned and incorporate reliability and maintainability requirements into future equipment specifications and engineering standards.
