Looking for a consulting role where you can shape solutions and stay involved through delivery?
Propelum is recruiting for a technically led Australian systems integrator with substantial project work already secured. This opportunity combines customer advisory, solution design, pre-sales and practical delivery, with direct access to customers and senior technical leaders.
You will work across hybrid cloud, on-premise infrastructure, networking, security and datacentre environments, with exposure to energy, utilities and critical infrastructure projects.
This is not a cloud-only architecture role or a routine managed-services support position. It suits someone who enjoys understanding the customer’s problem, designing the right solution and taking responsibility for the outcome.
What you’ll do
Lead customer discovery, workshops and requirements definition, translating business needs into practical roadmaps and solution designs.
Produce high-level and low-level designs, diagrams and as-built documentation, explaining options, risks and technical trade-offs.
Lead assigned cloud and infrastructure projects through implementation, scope and variation management, and handover.
Contribute to pre-sales alongside Principal Consultants and the sales team, build trusted customer relationships and mentor less experienced colleagues.
What you’ll bring
You will have at least five years’ experience in IT consulting, professional services, an MSP or complex infrastructure project delivery, with a proven record across both cloud and on-premise environments.
Your experience should include:
Solution design and delivery across physical and virtual infrastructure, servers, storage, backup and recovery, networking, security and cloud platforms.
Confidence leading customer workshops and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Clear technical documentation and commercial awareness of scope, effort, risks, dependencies and project variations.
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership of delivery.
Relevant tertiary qualifications are valued. You will be expected to obtain and maintain role-aligned certifications, including Azure AZ-104, AZ-305, Fortinet network security and a relevant technical elective. Paid training and certification support are provided.

The role is connected to the North Sydney team, particularly for onboarding, customer workshops, design collaboration and key project stages. Some work-from-home flexibility is available for proven performers, based on capability, trust and delivery rather than a fixed weekly arrangement.
