This individual will serve as a senior technical leader across LMI's existing programs and growth pipeline, translating complex mission challenges into innovative, integrated solutions that leverage LMI's proprietary technologies, data assets, analytical capabilities, and domain expertise. Working closely with market leadership, business development, product teams, and program delivery organizations, the Principal Solutions Architect will help establish technical direction, strengthen solution differentiation, and accelerate the adoption of scalable, reusable capabilities across customer engagements.

The ideal candidate combines deep familiarity with federal logistics and supply chain missions, strong technical fluency in modern data and analytical technologies, and a demonstrated ability to architect and communicate compelling solutions. This individual must be equally comfortable advising program teams on technical approaches, collaborating with developers and data scientists to shape integrated solutions, and engaging senior government stakeholders to identify opportunities and articulate LMI's approach and technical value. Success requires strategic thinking, technical credibility, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence outcomes across a diverse portfolio of programs, products, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Shape technical strategy and solution direction across LMI's supply chain, logistics, industrial base, and sustainment programs and growth opportunities, aligning technology capabilities and investments with evolving customer mission needs.

  • Architect integrated, mission-focused solutions that combine LMI's proprietary platforms, analytical models, data assets, commercial technologies, and subject matter expertise to address complex operational and enterprise challenges.

  • Provide senior technical advisory support to active programs, identifying opportunities to modernize architectures, improve interoperability, introduce emerging technologies, and expand the value delivered to existing customers.

  • Lead technical solution development for business development and capture efforts, partnering with market and growth leaders to assess opportunities, develop solution concepts, define technical approaches, and contribute to competitive proposals.

  • Engage directly with government customers and mission stakeholders to understand operational challenges, assess technical requirements, communicate solution alternatives, and demonstrate the value of LMI's capabilities.

  • Develop and deliver technical demonstrations, prototypes, and proofs of concept, coordinating with product developers, engineers, data scientists, and mission experts to validate solution feasibility and communicate potential mission impact.

  • Identify opportunities to integrate, reuse, and scale technology capabilities across programs and customers, reducing duplicative development and helping transform successful technical approaches into repeatable solution offerings.

  • Collaborate with product and technology leadership to inform capability roadmaps, prioritize technical investments, identify integration requirements, and align product development with emerging market opportunities.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, data sources, and solution approaches, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, modeling and simulation, optimization, and modern data platforms, for applicability to federal supply chain and logistics missions.

  • Serve as a technical thought leader and trusted advisor, contributing to customer briefings, technical workshops, strategic partnerships, industry engagements, and internal knowledge sharing to strengthen LMI's market positioning and technical credibility.
