Job Description
Join our Laboratory team at Moab Regional Hospital! In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely test results that assist providers in determining patient care needs. You will be a strong generalist, preferably with microbiology reading experience, and a capable phlebotomist when needed. Your adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills will be essential in this rural healthcare setting, where you will be called upon to respond swiftly and accurately in various situations.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and deliver test results promptly.
- Gather samples and conduct various tests across multiple laboratory areas, including microbiology, hematology, chemistry, blood banking, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, and blood gases.
- Adapt to new tasks and challenges as they arise in the laboratory setting.
- Contribute positively to interpersonal interactions within the laboratory and the healthcare community.
- Assist in venous and arterial blood collection as required.
Required Experience
- Current ASCP certification.
- Ability to read microbiology results independently is preferred.
- Experience in hematology, chemistry, blood banking, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, and blood gases.
Certifications/Licensure
- ASCP certification required.
