Wakefields Lawyers is seeking an experienced Legal Executive to join our friendly and collaborative team based in our Ōtaki office.

About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Executive who enjoys managing their own files, working directly with clients and being part of a busy, close-knit team.
The role offers a varied workload across a range of private client matters, with responsibilities that may include:
Residential conveyancing and property transactions
Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney
Estate administration
Trust-related matters
Liaising directly with clients, banks, real estate agents and other professionals
Collaborating with colleagues across our wider legal team
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work while enjoying the support and expertise of an established team.
About you
We're looking for someone who brings a combination of legal experience, strong organisational skills and a genuine commitment to providing excellent client service.
Ideally, you will:
Have previous experience working as a Legal Executive
Be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Be confident in managing files and communicating directly with clients
Be able to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
Take a proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach to your work
Enjoy contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment
Have a friendly, professional and approachable manner
Previous experience using Actionstep would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
