We are working with a high-profile Federal Government organisation to find an APS 5/6 Security Vetting Officer.

This is a 12 month contract position with extension options possible!

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and processing security clearances, including more complex cases, as well as reviewing work for quality and providing advice on security-related decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security clearance assessments in line with government security requirements and internal procedures.
• Use case management and other systems to manage and process applications.
• Provide clear, well-considered advice on security clearance outcomes.
• Assess complex cases and prepare high-quality reports and documentation.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure assessments meet required standards.
• Manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide administrative support, including managing shared inboxes and reviewing updates submitted by clearance holders.
• Work from an office-based location.

In order to have your application considered, you must:

• Have a Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting).
• Have a current Australian Government NV1 security clearance or higher.
• Be comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• Be available to commence in either December or January
