About the role
Our client is seeking a talented lawyer to join its specialist corporate practice in Auckland.
This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of transactions, with a core focus on mergers and acquisitions, equity capital raisings (including venture capital), and shareholder/limited partnership arrangements. The practice also offers exposure to listed company, and corporate governance, matters, and Takeovers Code transactions.
Working alongside experienced senior lawyers, you will take an active role in managing transactions, advising clients and delivering commercially focused solutions. You won't need experience across every area of the practice but will have the opportunity to broaden your expertise and develop strong, lasting client relationships.
Importantly, there is genuine scope for the right person to progress towards partnership, with the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the firm's future.

What we’re looking for
- A motivated team-oriented lawyer with 6+ years' PQE with a strong corporate transactional and advisory background who holds or is entitled to hold a current NZ legal practising certificate
- Solid experience in M&A, capital raisings, shareholder/limited partnership arrangements or related corporate transactions
- Excellent technical skills, with a thorough and considered approach to your work
- Strong drafting, analytical and commercial problem-solving abilities
- A responsive, dependable approach and the judgement to deliver consistently high-quality advice
- Confidence engaging directly with clients and building trusted professional relationships
- An interest in developing your expertise across a broader range of corporate matters
- A genuine interest in contributing to the long-term success of a specialist practice
