We're looking for a capable and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Regional Finance team in Auckland. This is an opportunity to step into a broad role where you'll work across multiple stakeholders, help drive financial performance, and contribute to projects that support our campuses throughout New Zealand and the wider organisation.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you'll work closely with finance teams in both New Zealand and offshore, campus leaders, budget holders, external auditors, and regional management to deliver accurate reporting, support decision-making, and continuously improve financial processes.
Start 18 January 2027 or as soon as possible.
What you'll be doing
This is a hands-on role with a mix of reporting, analysis, business partnering, and process improvement responsibilities.
Key areas include:
Deliver accurate financial reporting.
Support budgeting and forecasting.
Analyse performance and provide insights.
Build relationships with key stakeholders.
Assist with compliance and audits.
Drive process improvements.
About you
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting capability with the ability to build positive working relationships across the organisation.
You will ideally have:
CA qualification (or equivalent).
Around 3-5 years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
Strong experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and budget variance analysis.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
The ability to explain financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
A willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute wherever needed.
Experience within the education, not-for-profit, or charitable sector would be advantageous, but is not essential. Experience with Sage Intacct would also be beneficial.
