Are you an experienced HVAC and Refrigeration professional with a passion for technical problem-solving and customer service?
CAREL is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Customer Service Technician to join our Services Team in Sydney.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your refrigeration and controls knowledge with customer engagement, technical support and innovative building management technologies.
Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will provide technical expertise across CAREL's refrigeration control solutions, monitoring systems and BMS integrations, helping customers achieve reliable and efficient system performance.
About the Role
As our Customer Service Technician, you will be a key technical contact for customers, providing support across commissioning, troubleshooting, configuration, warranty assessments and after-sales service.
You will work across a variety of activities, including remote technical support, supervisory graphics development, system integration and customer training, with occasional customer site visits.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, remote access and occasional site visits.
Support commissioning, configuration and troubleshooting of CAREL control solutions and monitoring systems.
Assist customers with product selection, application support and after-sales service.
Conduct warranty assessments and root cause analysis.
Develop and maintain supervisory graphics, BMS layouts and monitoring configurations.
Support the integration of refrigeration controls with BMS and communication networks.
Deliver customer training and technical presentations.
Collaborate with CAREL Head Office, R&D, Quality, Sales and Service teams to resolve technical issues.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records.
About You
You are a customer-focused technical professional who enjoys solving complex problems, building strong customer relationships and working with innovative technology.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent qualification as a Refrigeration/ HVAC Technician or Commercial Electrician.
Minimum 4 years' experience in the HVAC and Refrigeration industry.
Advanced understanding of retail CO₂ refrigeration systems an advantage.
Experience with retail monitoring and supervisory systems.
Technical Skills
Experience using CAREL software tools preferred.
Knowledge of BMS Layout Builder or equivalent platforms.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
Competency in technical drawing and documentation tools.
Knowledge of Java and/or HTML scripting will be highly regarded.
