We're looking for experienced Senior Project Controls & Implementation Consultants to join us on a major transformation programme, helping a large UK organisation improve the way it manages, governs and delivers complex projects.
The contract will run from January through to September 2027 and can be delivered almost entirely remotely, with occasional on-site attendance for key workshops and stakeholder meetings.
The Role
We're looking for experienced project controls and project delivery professionals who understand what it takes to implement consistent ways of working across large, complex project environments.
You'll be supporting the implementation and wider roll-out of a structured project delivery lifecycle across a significant portfolio of projects.
This isn't a traditional technology implementation role. We're looking for people who understand project governance, delivery methodologies, stage gates, assurance processes and the practical challenges of managing complex projects.
You'll use that knowledge to translate detailed processes, methodologies and governance arrangements into clear, structured and practical digital playbooks using the Method Grid platform.
But creating the playbooks is only part of the challenge.
You'll also work alongside project managers, PMO teams and senior stakeholders to embed these approaches into everyday project delivery, supporting implementation, adoption and the transition to sustainable ways of working.
About You
We're particularly interested in hearing from experienced consultants who have worked within project controls, project delivery, PMO transformation or programme assurance , ideally within a management consultancy, professional services firm or specialist project consultancy.
You'll have a strong understanding of project lifecycles, governance frameworks, stage-gate processes and delivery assurance, developed through hands-on experience in complex project environments.
Crucially, you'll have demonstrable experience implementing new methodologies, processes or operating models across multiple projects or teams, rather than simply designing or recommending them.
Experience within infrastructure, engineering, construction, energy or other capital-intensive sectors would be particularly valuable.
You'll be comfortable taking complex technical and operational information and translating it into clear, logical and accessible processes that people can actually follow.
You'll also have the confidence to engage with experienced project professionals, challenge existing ways of working and help organisations adopt more consistent approaches to project delivery.
Experience with digital project or process management platforms would be useful, but previous experience with Method Grid isn't required. We'll provide the training you need.
