Job type : Full time – 35-40 hours Minimum per week, based on a rotating Roster
Duration : Full time permanent.
About the role
You will be working as a Beautician at our new salon in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty. You will have the responsibility of providing services, learning new techniques as required, applying knowledge of the industry, and providing excellent customer service daily. You will be working with a reputed Salon Brand within the most exciting industry.
Key responsibilities
Provide all aspects of beauty treatments including hand and foot treatments, facials, massages, waxing, threading, bleaching, tinting
Receive bookings, arrange appointments, handle front reception when required and maintain client records
Provide advice on and sell cosmetic products
Provide facial and body hair removal treatments
Explain all treatment procedures to clients
Properly sterilize beauty tools and equipment after every use
Ensure that the work area is clean
Follow health and safety procedures
Assist with the training of junior beauticians
Ensure beauty product stock are ordered and of appropriate quality
About you
Minimum 2 years' experience required as a beautician
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, late nights and public holidays as per the salon timings Monday to Sunday
Positive attitude, building rapport with staff and customers, and ability to thrive under pressure
Excellent communication skills and handling customers professionally
Great presentation and personal hygiene, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Maintain a clean work environment, and follow health and safety procedures
Excellent customer service skills
Must be in NZ, and either be an NZ resident, citizen or have the legal right to work in NZ full time
