Lake Taupō Hole in One Challenge is looking for a friendly, skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our whānau!
We’re a busy lakefront attraction where tourists, golfers and locals come together for great experiences, great coffee and a bit of fun. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their coffee, thrives in a customer service role and brings positive energy to every shift.
This is a role with plenty of variety, awesome lakefront views and a fun team environment. But let’s be honest — it’s a lot of fun, but it’s a lot of hard work too! We get busy, we move quickly, and there’s always something to do. We need someone who can keep their cool during the coffee rush, maintain high standards and roll up their sleeves when things get hectic.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Crafting consistently great coffee and preparing a range of hot and cold beverages.
Preparing food and maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and food safety.
Providing friendly, genuine Kiwi hospitality to every customer.
Keeping your workstation, café and outdoor seating areas clean, tidy and inviting.
Assisting the Café Supervisor with managing stock, maintaining equipment and following our standard operating procedures.
Supporting our wider team with golf operations, customer assistance and general site duties when needed.
Helping keep our lakefront looking its best, taking pride in our environment and practising Tiaki — caring for our place.
Supporting fellow team members and contributing to a positive, hardworking team culture.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Previous barista and café experience, with confidence making quality espresso coffee. You’ll hit the ground running!
A friendly, approachable personality and a genuine passion for customer service.
Someone who is reliable, organised and takes pride in the little details.
The ability to multitask, work efficiently and stay positive during busy periods.
A strong work ethic and willingness to jump in wherever help is needed.
A team player who communicates well and is happy to work across both café and golf operations.
A commitment to cleanliness, food safety and maintaining high standards.
