As a Data Architect - Azure & Snowflake, you will:
- Define and establish current-state and target-state data architectures across various business use cases.
- Translate business capabilities and data requirements into effective and actionable data architecture solutions.
- Design and develop scalable data models aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Establish architecture patterns and best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and management.
- Guide the design and implementation of cloud-based data platforms, particularly using Microsoft Azure.
- Define and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, security, and compliance.
- Ensure data architecture solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR.
- Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise data architecture standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technical teams to deliver effective data solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor data engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in data architecture, modelling, governance, and lifecycle management.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 10+ years of overall professional experience in data architecture, data modelling, and cloud data platforms.
- Extensive experience in Data Architecture and Data Modelling.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud data platform architecture.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake and modern data platform concepts.
- Experience designing data models and defining data ingestion and transformation patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and Data Lifecycle Management.
- Good understanding of data security, privacy controls, and GDPR compliance.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical data architecture solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies is an advantage.
- Experience with Power BI and enterprise reporting architecture is desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and other data management tools is an advantage.
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or TOGAF are preferred.
You Should Possess the Ability to:
- Design scalable and sustainable enterprise data architectures aligned with business objectives.
- Translate complex business requirements into practical data architecture and modelling solutions.
- Define data ingestion, transformation, and integration patterns.
- Guide cloud data platform design and architecture decisions using Azure services.
- Establish data governance practices and ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements.
- Evaluate existing data architectures and recommend improvements to support future business needs.
- Lead architecture reviews and communicate technical decisions effectively.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.
- Work effectively in an Agile environment while managing multiple priorities.
