Operating from three warehouses, we offer a diverse range of cutting and folding services with market leading equipment, including laser, plasma, water, gas, and tube cutting.
We’re looking for a Dispatch Assistant & General Hand to join our dispatch team, working alongside our Dispatch Operator to make sure orders are counted, checked, packed and loaded accurately and on time. This role is perfect for someone with a sharp eye for detail who enjoys hands-on work, and who’s keen to learn the dispatch process while building skills across the wider operation.
What You’ll Do
Pick, count and check parts against job paperwork, and pack them securely for dispatch.
Label orders correctly and make sure the right paperwork goes out with each one.
Help load trucks and courier pick-ups, making sure items are wrapped, secured and loaded in the right order.
Unload and check incoming material, flag any shortages or damage, and store materials in the correct locations.
Keep the dispatch area clear and organised, with packaging supplies stocked.
Assist with local deliveries and collections as required.
Move materials around the site to keep production moving.
Assist machine operators and complete basic machining tasks once trained.
Support other production areas, including finishing and the workshop, when needed.
What We’re Looking For
Strong attention to detail, particularly when counting and checking orders.
Willingness to learn and take direction, with the ability to follow processes consistently.
Reliable and punctual, with good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically capable of lifting and handling materials and working on your feet throughout the day.
Driver licence, with a full licence preferred.
Forklift certification (or willingness to train).
Comfortable using basic tools and picking up simple systems.
