Our Hastings based manufacturing client is looking for an proactive and hands on Team Leader to support their dayshift operations, driving safety, quality, and performance across the floor. These roles are ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is confident leading from the front.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Provide on the floor safety and quality support across the converting area.

•  Assist operators during smoko breaks by servicing machines and rotating anvil mats to maintain uptime and reduce downtime.

•  Carry out routine quality checks and audits to ensure product standards are met.

•  Always promote and reinforce safe work practices.

• Manage and follow up safety hazards and incidents through Evotix, ensuring they are logged, tracked, and progressed through to closure. Act as a link between production staff and the maintenance team, ensuring issues are communicated.

• Drive accountability to make sure safety and maintenance actions are completed, without necessarily being the person to fix the issue.

• Be confident in holding constructive and sometimes difficult conversations around safety, quality, and performance.

• Step in to cover supervisory duties when required, ensuring smooth team operations.

• Help escalate issues appropriately.

What We're Looking For:

•  Strong understanding of manufacturing, safety, and quality processes.

•  Experience using safety reporting systems.

•  Ability to work hands on in a fast-paced production environment.

•  Strong communicator who can coordinate between teams and follow issues through.

•  Confident in holding people accountable and keeping actions moving.

• Previous experience in converting or a similar production role.
