About RATO

RATO is a growing technology company specialising in POS systems, EFTPOS payment solutions, self-service kiosks, online ordering, and business management software for hospitality and retail businesses.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Business Development Manager with strong industry knowledge and an established network in the New Zealand POS and payments market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new customers across hospitality and retail sectors.

  • Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, and existing industry connections.

  • Conduct product demonstrations, prepare proposals, and close sales.

  • Promote POS systems, EFTPOS solutions, self-service kiosks, and software subscriptions.

  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.

  • Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to company growth.

  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in the POS industry (essential).

  • Existing network within the New Zealand hospitality or retail industry is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of POS software, hardware, and EFTPOS payment solutions.

  • Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Self-motivated and target-driven.

  • Valid New Zealand driver's licence.

  • Legal right to work in New Zealand.

What We Offer
