Office, Client Liaison and Interiors Coordinator

Elevate Homes | Cromwell, Central Otago

Love beautiful homes, enjoy working with people and have a knack for keeping things organised?

Elevate Homes is expanding into the South Island, establishing a new construction facility and show home in Cromwell, and we're looking for a friendly, capable and enthusiastic person to join our team.

This is a varied role that combines office administration, client liaison and practical team support, with the opportunity to become involved in interior selections and procurement as our South Island operation develops.

We're looking for someone who enjoys the day-to-day organisation of an office, is confident dealing with people and has a genuine interest in homes, interiors and quality finishes.

About Elevate Homes

Elevate Homes is changing the traditional perception of transportable and prefabricated housing. We create architecturally designed, high-quality transportable homes with the design, materials, detailing and level of finish expected from a high-end residential build, while taking advantage of a smarter and more controlled construction process.  Our homes are constructed in a dedicated yard environment, substantially completed before being transported to the client's property.

With an established operation in Cambridge, we're now bringing Elevate to the South Island. This is an opportunity to join us at an exciting stage and help establish our Cromwell operation from the ground up.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the smooth running and growth of Elevate Homes’ Cromwell operation, combining office administration, accounts support and welcoming client liaison, with a developing role in interior selections and procurement.

Working closely with our Cambridge head office and local construction team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Be the welcoming first point of contact for South Island visitors and enquiries, including taking prospective clients through the show home and explaining our product and process.

  • Keep the Cromwell office and show home organised, well presented and operating efficiently; provide general administration and practical support to the South Island team.

  • Support Cambridge head office with accounts administration, accurate client and project records, and timely communication.

  • Assist with client care, final inspections, pre-transport preparation, handover documentation and post-delivery follow-up.

As the business grows, you'll also work alongside our Cambridge-based Interior & Procurement Manager, taking an active role in guiding clients through their interior and exterior selections. This will include running client design meetings, presenting and explaining available options, discussing potential upgrades and variations, and assisting with pricing these selections. You'll also coordinate products and samples, liaise with suppliers and assist with procurement to ensure each client's choices are accurately documented and delivered.

It's a great opportunity to develop your knowledge of interiors and become involved in the finer details that make each Elevate home special.

Working Hours

Initially, this will be a part-time position working 30 hours per week (6 hours per day). We anticipate the working hours will be 9.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break, although there is some flexibility around these hours to suit the right candidate.

As our Cromwell operation grows, we anticipate the role developing into a full-time position of at least 40 hours per week. We're therefore looking for someone who is comfortable starting on a part-time basis but has the flexibility and availability to increase their hours as the business develops.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their role alongside the business.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is organised, personable and happy to turn their hand to a variety of tasks.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Good administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.

  • A warm, professional and confident manner with clients.

  • Strong communication and computer skills.

  • The ability to work independently, take initiative and manage competing priorities.

  • A practical, flexible attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.

  • A genuine interest in homes, interior design, colours, materials and finishes.

Experience in administration, accounts support, customer service, a showroom or a construction-related business would be an advantage.

You don't need to be an interior designer. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, a good eye for detail and an enthusiasm to learn.

Why join Elevate?

You'll be joining a growing business at an exciting time, working with a supportive team and helping establish Elevate's presence in Central Otago.

This is a role with plenty of variety and the opportunity to develop new skills and responsibilities as the business grows.  Bring initiative, flexibility, good judgement and a team-first attitude to a varied role that will evolve as the South Island business develops.

If you're someone who loves being organised, enjoys meeting people, appreciates beautiful homes and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves, we'd love to hear from you.
