About the role
We are seeking a Trainee Operations Coordinator - Aerospace Logistics to join our dynamic team at our Mangere, Auckland facility. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in logistics and aerospace operations. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in aerospace logistics coordination whilst supporting the day-to-day operations of our distribution centre. This role is instrumental in ensuring smooth operations and helping maintain our reputation for excellence in the aerospace sector.
What you'll be doing
Assisting with the coordination of incoming and outgoing aerospace shipments and documentation
Supporting inventory management activities, including stock checks and record keeping
Helping to prepare and process orders for dispatch in accordance with aerospace industry standards and regulations
Liaising with warehouse staff, customers and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations
Assisting with the maintenance of accurate records and operational databases
Supporting compliance with aerospace safety and handling protocols
Performing general administrative tasks related to operations coordination
Contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes under supervision
Learning about customs documentation and export procedures relevant to aerospace logistics
What we're looking for
Secondary school qualification or equivalent, with competency in numeracy and literacy
Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Reliability and a positive attitude towards learning and professional development
Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Prior experience in warehousing, logistics or a related field would be advantageous
A valid driver's licence would be beneficial for this role
