Join the Pulse of Aeromedical Aviation – Where Every Mission Matters

With hubs across Aotearoa, we are proud to be New Zealand’s largest aeromedical provider, flying our own fleet of aircraft for critical inter-hospital transfers. Our internationally accredited jet service reaches across the South Pacific, retrieving patients in urgent need of care. Operating 24/7 on an Emergency Service roster, we’re always ready to respond.

Our Mission Coordination Team is the heartbeat of our operations—planning and activating fixed wing air ambulance missions, charter flights, and rotary aircraft missions across New Zealand, the Pacific, and beyond.

At the NZ Air Ambulance Service, we believe outcomes matter—for patients, whānau, clients, and our team. We’re solution-driven, stepping up where others step back.

We’re looking for a sharp, agile professional who thrives in high-pressure environments. If you bring experience in medical administration, emergency services, or patient case management—and love working with urgency and precision—this could be your next big move.

This role is suited to candidates based in Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, or Christchurch; however, if you live elsewhere but know you've got what it takes - we want to hear from you!

We seek a suitably experienced candidate who thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment.  You would need to work with urgency and with meticulous attention to detail.  Experience in medical administration, emergency services and/or patient case management would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Gather and relay medical/logistical details from referring facilities to duty crews

  • Activate the most suitable aircraft and crew—fixed wing or rotary

  • Coordinate ground ambulance logistics and companion travel

  • Monitor flight progress and keep stakeholders informed

  • Manage complex multi-stop international missions

  • Liaise with medical teams and family members throughout each mission

  • Quote for domestic and international missions, balancing medical needs and cost efficiency.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Top-tier time management and teamwork skills

  • Clear, confident communication

  • Laser-sharp attention to detail

  • Creative problem-solving under pressure

  • Professionalism in every client interaction

  • Strong IT skills (MS Suite including Teams, Word, Excel)

  • Maturity, stability, and self-assurance

  • A client-first mindset and cultural awareness

If you would like to be part of our team, please attach your CV with a covering letter addressing the role's essential criteria to the Seek ad.

Please note this is a work from home role.
