About the role

Essential Staff is looking for experienced Carpenters for ongoing commercial construction and fit-out work in Auckland. These are full-time positions working across a range of commercial construction, interior fit-out and general carpentry projects.

Key responsibilities

• Commercial and residential carpentry

• Interior fit-out and finishing work

• Framing and general construction carpentry

• Installing doors, frames, hardware, cabinetry and other building components

• Reading and working from plans and drawings

• Measuring, cutting, assembling and installing timber and other materials

• Working alongside other trades and site teams

• Completing work safely and to a high standard

• Following site health and safety requirements

About you

• Minimum 3 years' relevant carpentry experience OR a relevant carpentry qualification

• Proven experience working on construction or fit-out projects

• Ability to read plans and work independently

• Good knowledge of construction site health and safety

• Reliable and able to work as part of a team

• Able to travel and work across Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty as required

Benefits

• $30.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience

• Minimum 30 guaranteed hours per week

• Typically around 40 hours per week, with additional hours available depending on project requirements

• Weekly pay

• Ongoing full-time work

• Work available across Auckland, Hamilton/Waikato and Tauranga/Bay of Plenty

• Variety of commercial construction and fit-out projects
