Trade Assist is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join a leading engineering and infrastructure company based in Whenuapai! This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment both in the workshop and out in the field.

Your Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on heavy machinery and piling equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues
- Assist with workshop and yard operations including loading and equipment movement
- Maintain tools, parts, and equipment while keeping work areas clean and safe
- Relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Experience working on heavy machinery or related equipment preferred
- Ability to fault find and work independently
- Current driver’s licence required
- Forklift licence preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and able to work well with customers and the team
- NZ resident or valid work visa
