About us
One Crew Electrical & HVAC is a Queensland electrical and air conditioning contractor. Our head office is in Brisbane and we have a large crew in North West Queensland. We’re now growing our South East Queensland side and are looking for a Leading Hand Electrician / Split System Installer to head it up on the tools.
The role
This is a permanent full-time position, based in South East Queensland. As our leading hand in SEQ you’ll:
run jobs from start to finish
set the standard for quality and safety on every site
act as the main on-site contact for our clients
As the SEQ team grows, you’ll also supervise and mentor apprentices and new team members.
Our office team books and schedules your jobs, liaises with clients and sends all the job details to your phone, so you can stay focused on the work.
The work
Most of the SEQ work is residential and light commercial, and it comes from repeat clients:
Supply and install of wall-mounted split systems (the core of the role)
Switchboard upgrades, safety switch (RCBO) installs and mains upgrades
Electrical and solar inspection reports for insurance builders
Maintenance and repairs for real estate property managers: fans, lights, ovens, rangehoods and hot water
Air conditioning cleans and servicing
Preventive maintenance and repairs at commercial and retail sites
Government and school work
Jobs are spread across Logan, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Beaudesert and the Scenic Rim, Ipswich and Moreton Bay.
Essential
Unrestricted Queensland Electrical Licence
Proven experience installing split system air conditioners from start to finish: mounting, pipe runs, electrical connection and commissioning
ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (RSS03 split system installation, or higher)
Experience running jobs on your own, from setting out the work to signing it off
Current driver’s licence and a clean driving record
Construction Induction (White) Card
Clear communicator who keeps customers informed and leaves every site clean and tidy
Highly regarded
Previous leading hand or supervisory experience, including guiding apprentices
QBCC Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services licence
Blue Card, or willing to get one (we work in schools)
Working at heights ticket
Experience with switchboard upgrades and testing to AS/NZS 3000
Experience using ServiceM8 or similar job management software
