We’re looking for someone who can hold a genuinely useful technical conversation with a builder, measure an opening to the millimetre, and spot a design problem on a drawing before it becomes a problem on site.
This is a role for someone who genuinely knows their way around APL Window Systems products (or equivalent), who can specify and quote accurately, and treats every builder relationship as a genuine partnership. You’ll be the calm, technically switched-on voice at the other end of the phone, and the equally calm, technically switched-on person standing alongside them on site.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a minimum of 2+ years’ genuine site measure experience, specifically for windows. This is not a role for someone who has been to site a couple of times or is still working out which end of the tape measure goes first.
Understand that customer service isn’t a tagline, it’s the whole job.
Be able to accurately specify and quote all types of APL joinery for high-end residential projects.
Be proficient with V6.
Be capable of troubleshooting technical issues and finding genuine solutions for unique project requirements.
Be detail-oriented and highly accurate – fish-hooks hide in the millimetres.
Be able to multi-task efficiently and manage their own time well.
Be able to work with minimal supervision. We’re after a self-starter with established skills, not someone who needs a chaperone.
Enjoy working as part of a team.
Be a progressive, adaptable thinker. If you find change difficult we’re probably not the company for you.

Package
Salary dependent on experience + car + phone.
Important note (because apparently we have to say this):
Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand permanently – not temporarily, not hypothetically, and not just on weekends. If your visa status involves the words “pending”, “hopeful”, or “my cousin’s sorting it”, then unfortunately this role isn’t for you. We need someone who can commit without requiring a small novel’s worth of immigration paperwork.
