Part-Time Hourly Night Assistant Store Manager

About the Role

Join the Store Operations team at Renfroe’s Market as a night assistant store manager. You’ll support overnight or late-shift store operations by coordinating assigned work, maintaining safe and secure conditions, and preparing the store for customers and the next shift. This position is hourly and overtime-eligible.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate assigned shift priorities, including stocking, recovery, cleaning, receiving, and closing or opening checklists.
Provide shift-level work direction and monitor task completion; refer personnel decisions to authorized store leadership unless specifically delegated.
Maintain aisle access, safe equipment use, food-storage conditions, security procedures, and clear incident communication.
Respond to customer, delivery, staffing, and building issues within delegated authority and contact on-call leadership when required.
Verify assigned records and handoff notes and communicate unfinished work or risks to the incoming manager.
Perform stocking or other store tasks as needed and accurately record all time worked.

What You’ll Bring

Retail or stocking experience is helpful.
Must communicate clearly, use sound judgment, learn store opening, closing, security, and safety procedures, and work the assigned overnight or late shifts.
Leadership experience is preferred, not required unless verified as job-related.
Use assigned equipment only after training and when legally authorized.

Your Schedule

This is a part-time position.
Must be available for assigned opening, closing, evening, or overnight shifts, including weekends or holidays as business needs require.
Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function, subject to applicable leave and accommodation laws.

Pay basis: Hourly, nonexempt. Record all time worked; overtime is paid as required by law.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Stand or walk, reach, bend, and perform repetitive hand movements as needed for the assigned duties.
Handle merchandise, tools, or equipment using safe-lifting methods and team or mechanical assistance when appropriate.
Work occurs primarily during evening or overnight hours across sales floor, stockroom, receiving, and refrigerated areas. Duties may include extended standing or walking, moving merchandise, and working around delivery and stocking equipment after training.
