Nova is part of the family-owned Todd Corporation, one of New Zealand’s largest and most successful companies. We’re the ones who supply great value energy, broadband and phone services to all kinds of Kiwi homes and businesses.
We’re looking for an experienced credit professional to lead our Credit Solutions team, bringing together sound credit judgement and a fair, practical approach to customer outcomes.
About the role
Good credit management is about getting the balance right. Nova needs to manage credit risk and recover overdue debt, while treating customers fairly and looking for workable solutions when people are having difficulty paying.
As Credit Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for how Nova approaches that balance across Credit Solutions. You’ll lead a team working with customers through situations that can be complex, with disconnection for non-payment treated as a last resort in line with Consumer Care obligations.
Key responsibilities
You’re an approachable and considered leader who gives people the confidence to do their jobs well. You’re comfortable having honest conversations and know when your team needs your support and when to give them room to work things through themselves.
You can take in different information, work through competing considerations and make a call when there isn’t an obvious answer. You communicate clearly and bring a fair, measured approach to situations that aren’t always straightforward. These qualities reflect the decision-making, communication, accountability and trust competencies identified in the position description.
