The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist to support a busy hospital pharmacy service in Moray. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist seeking a locum assignment within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and medicines optimisation.

Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical pharmacy services across inpatient wards.
Perform medicines reconciliation and clinical medication reviews.
Support safe and effective prescribing through expert pharmaceutical advice.
Work closely with doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Participate in ward rounds and patient reviews.
Monitor medication therapies and recommend interventions where required.
Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
Promote medicines optimisation and cost-effective prescribing.
Assist with audits, service improvement initiatives and governance activities.

Essential Criteria
MPharm Degree (or equivalent).
Current GPhC registration.
Previous clinical pharmacy experience.
Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and pharmaceutical care.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Desirable
Hospital pharmacy experience.
Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy qualification.
Independent Prescriber qualification.
Previous NHS experience.
