About Lagoon Hill Station

Lagoon Hill Station is a historic farming and sporting estate in the South Wairarapa. We are seeking an enthusiastic Under Keeper to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on role mainly focused on game bird management with some general station operations including livestock and machinery. 

Key Responsibilities

• Game bird management

• Breeding and raising (poultry) bird stock

• Running commercial (poultry) game bird shooting events

• Whistle feeding

• Predator control, habitat enhancement.

• Fencing, repairs and general property maintenance.

• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.

• Maintain high standards of animal welfare, presentation and safety

• Assist with livestock handling and general farm duties when time allows

Prerequisites

• Experience in rearing but not essential

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

• Strong references

• Clean Current International driver's license.

• Firearms license preferred or willingness to obtain one.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Base Salary: NZD $80,000 per annum

• Accommodation package valued at approximately $400 per week

Total Employment Package: NZD $ 105,000 per annum
