Fergburger is hiring now for Grill Chefs to join the team.

Fergburger has been feeding hungry locals, travellers and burger fans from around the world since 2001. We're a busy, energetic bunch who take our food seriously, don't take ourselves too seriously, and know how to have a good time along the way.

We're looking for Grill Chefs to join our kitchen team. If you've got kitchen experience, you're keen to learn, and you're ready to get stuck in, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

Grilling and cooking burgers to Fergburger's specifications
Working with fryers, grills and other kitchen equipment
Assembling orders quickly, accurately and neatly
Keeping your station clean, organised and ready to go
Following our Food Control Plan and Health & Safety standards
Working closely with the wider kitchen and front of house teams

What we're looking for:

Have some previous kitchen or hospitality experience
Are energetic, reliable and ready to get stuck in
Can keep their cool when the pressure’s on
Enjoy working as part of a big team
Have a positive, can-do attitude
Are happy working at pace and handling plenty of volume
Have the right to work in New Zealand

You don't need to be a career chef. You might be an experienced kitchenhand ready to step up, a backpacker looking for a solid Queenstown job for summer or beyond, or if you’ve got some kitchen experience, a good attitude, and you’re keen to learn, we’ll train you up.

The hours

We're a busy operation, so there's plenty of work available.

You'll need to be comfortable working around 40 - 45 hours per week, across a rotating roster. That means being flexible across mornings, afternoons and late nights between 6 am – 3:30 am and generally working 5 days a week.
