About the role
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of a major data centre project, working closely with Project Engineers, Site Managers, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This position is ideally suited to engineers looking to broaden their experience on technically challenging projects while developing under experienced leaders within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers to ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements
Review drawings and technical documentation, identifying discrepancies and assisting with the resolution of RFIs and site queries
Monitor construction progress and proactively identify risks, issues and opportunities for improvement
Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks and maintain project documentation
Track material procurement, logistics and delivery schedules to support project milestones
Ensure works comply with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
Collaborate with the broader project team to achieve programme and commercial objectives
Support the delivery of a safe, productive and high-performing site environment
About you
A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
Approximately 3-5 years' experience within a commercial construction environment
Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, infrastructure or technically complex building projects
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination and quality management processes
Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with project management platforms such as Aconex, MS Project, Primavera or similar
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
